Drawing check

The injection mold debugging must be prepared according to the mold commissioning notice issued by the external cooperation department or the production department. The first step is the review of the drawings. There are two drawings referred to here, one is the product drawing of the mold debugging, and the other is the mold drawing. According to the product drawings, understand the material, geometry, function and appearance requirements of the product, such as color, spots, impurities, seams, dents, etc. According to the mold drawing, you can understand the equipment used for mold debugging. The technical parameters are consistent with the mold requirements, and the tools and accessories are complete. Pass the drawings to the next process.


Equipment inspection

Check the oil circuit, water circuit, circuit, mechanical movement part of the equipment used, and maintain the equipment as required; check the technical parameters of the equipment: the diameter of the positioning ring, the size of the nozzle ball R, the nozzle aperture, the minimum mold thickness, the maximum mold thickness, and the movement. The mold stroke, the tie rod spacing, the ejection method, etc. must meet the test mode requirements, and prepare for the driving.


The test equipment should be consistent with the machine in the future production. This is because the technical parameters of the equipment are related to the technical standards of the test product. The fluctuation of temperature, the magnitude of pressure change, the time of empty circulation and the stability of mechanical and hydraulic transmission all affect the quality of the product. The test mode of the equipment with large clamping force is changed to the injection machine with small clamping force, and the molding conditions may need to be changed.


Material preparation

Check whether the specifications, model, grade, additives, masterbatch, etc. of the processed plastic raw materials meet the requirements. For raw materials with high humidity, dry the raw materials to determine the ratio.


In principle, the raw materials should be made of the raw materials specified in the drawings, because the mold is designed according to the physical and mechanical properties of the raw materials. It is also possible to use raw materials with good fluidity, quick curing, and good thermal stability. The structure of the test mold makes the distribution of various parts, round corners, wall thickness and ribs of the product truly reflected, which can be used as a reference for modifying the injection mold.


Mold inspection

Before the injection mold is installed in the injection machine, the mold should be inspected according to the mold drawing, so that the problem can be found in time and the mold can be repaired. According to the injection mold assembly drawing, the outer dimensions of the mold, the size of the positioning ring, the size of the main entrance, the size of the sphere R matched with the nozzle, the inlet and outlet of the cooling water, the height and width of the platen, and the like can be checked. The casting system and cavity of the mold need to be opened for inspection. When the mold is separated from the fixed mold, attention should be paid to the direction mark to avoid mistakes when closing.


Cooling water pipe or heating circuit

Turn on the mold cooling water pipe or heating circuit check. If the parting surface is hydraulic or motor, it should be checked separately.


Tools and accessories

The test tool is a special tool for the test mode personnel. It is contained in a portable tool case and is easy to carry. Each debugger should be equipped with a set. The tools related to the test mode are mechanical hand moving, pad, mold temperature thermometer, mold card for checking the size of the mold, tools for inspection, etc., as well as copper rods, copper sheets and sandpaper that are commonly used during operation. spare parts.


The inspection of the insert is very important. The various inserts of the test mold include metal inserts, plastic inserts, rubber inserts, paper product inserts, and shaped parts for ensuring that the product is not deformed after molding. Testing to avoid damage to the mold, causing irreparable damage.
